Events

The Northern Samoyed Society hosts three main events each year:

v        Breed Championship Show

v        Breed Open Show

v        Samoyed of the Year

Championship Show

Our next Breed Championship Show will be held in March 2009 at MYPetSTOP, Tingley, West Yorks.

The show consists of 22 classes with prize money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and rosettes from 1st to VHC in each class.

There are also special rosettes for Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex, Best Veteran, Best Puppy and Reserve Best Puppy in Show.  Trophies are also available to members for the winners of each class.

Open Show

Our next Open Show will be held on 19th October 2008 and our Judge will be Mrs Jan Rual.

We hold one Open Breed Show each year at Hasland Village Hall, nr. Chesterfield.  This show consists of 20 classes with rosettes presented from 1st to VHC in each class.  Special rosettes are available for Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show, Best Opposite Sex, Best Veteran, Best Puppy and Reserve Best Puppy in Show and trophies are available to members for each class winner.

Hasland Village Hall is situated in a beautiful park in the centre of this village, which gives plenty of space for exercising the dogs.  Although the hall is smaller than that for our Championship show it has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere which makes for a very enjoyable event.

SAMOYED OF THE YEAR

This is the most prestigious event of the year and as such has its own pages on our website, where you will find full details and past winners and qualification details for entry.

OTHER EVENTS

The Society, from time to time, also hosts educational and training events and works in conjunction with the Breed Liaison Council for the training and assessment of judges.
